I've gone through every method and nothing has worked for me. Does anyone know if these methods worked at all?

Yeah as I've said, I've tried all the workarounds suggested, and still get that error.

Risen72, can you post a screenshot?  Does the error occur when you are attempting to open the Install.app package?  If so then the DMG file on the computer may be damaged.

You can download a fresh copy of the retail Creative Suite 5 installation files at Download Adobe Creative Suite 5 products .  I would recommend you use both an alternate computer and Internet connection to download the DMG file to a USB drive.  You can then open the DMG file on the new Mac and then open the contents of the Install.app package successfully.

If the error is occurring when you double click on the Install.app then that is completely expected under macOS 10.12 or later.  You will have to use the workaround and drag the Install Unix executable, from within the Install.app package, to an open Terminal window.

    Branching to a new discussion.

Risen72, what errors are you facing when you implement the workaround discussed in Installing Creative Suite on macOS 10.12 (Sierra) ?  What version of macOS are you installing on?  What version of Creative Suite is being installed?

I have macOS High Sierra which is version 10.13.5, trying to install Creative Suite Design Premium 5.5

The error is the "Install" can't be opened. You should eject the disk image. I've tried the workarounds mentioned and I still end up with that error.

I've lost my original install discs and I'm using the downloaded files that I got from Adobe. I'm wondering if that's the issue and maybe Adobe needs to send me install discs. Recently my hard drive crashed and I've since replaced it, hence having to install the 5.5 Creative Suite Design Premium once again.

Risen72, thanks for the update.  The error you mentioned occurs because you are opening the Install.app.  Please make sure to right click on the Install.app and select Open the Package Contents as discussed in Installing Creative Suite on macOS 10.12 (Sierra) .

Once you have the Install package open you will then need to drag the Install Unix Executable to an open Terminal window.  If you double-click the Install.app or the Install Unix Executable then the installation will fail.

If you continue to face errors please post a screenshot of where you are receiving an error in the process.  Information on how to post a screenshot can be found at FAQ: How do I capture and post a screen shot or video? .
