Re: Lightroom 5.7 Update Problem

When I try to download from Download Photoshop Lightroom   the only available version for MacOS is a CCM version which doesn't accept my 5.0 serial number (even though it's registered on my Adobe account). Do you know any link to a stand alone version?

Forgot: A link to the stand alone version of LR 5.7.1 is found under your order history.

No, as I said; The only problem is that you Adobe guys direct us to wrong version of 5,7.1. Sorry but it seems that you’re just pasting random answers to questions I haven’t even asked.

Bos63254709, I am sorry, but I am just trying to understand why you are receiving the message that the serial number is invalid when you attempt to install Lightroom 5.7.1.  A Lightroom 5 serial number will be accepted by the Lightroom 5.7.1 installer.

If you are not receiving the message that the serial number is not valid, then can you please post the specific error message that you are receiving?  Also, can you confirm that you are installing on a newer computer running macOS or are you not installing on a computer running Windows?

Sorry if I were rude. Not my intension. Two things though:

    1) Problem is already sorted. I found it out my self.

    2) For future reference: There are two different versions of LR571. One for those who bought it through creative cloud, and one for those who bought it as a separat app. If you bought it separately, e.g. as an upgrade from LR5.0, you can't use the version for creative cloud, the ccm-version. The serial number won't be accepted. You need instead to download the correct version of 571, without the CCM-addition. This version is provided as a link on the same page as your serial number, your ”order history”. When you install this version serial numbers from 5.0 are already filled in. Just to click ok – and you're up and running.

    Branching to a new discussion.

Bos63254709, sorry the serial number is not being accepted when you download and install Lightroom 5.7.1.  You mentioned you were using your registered serial number. Can you confirm you used the process listed in Find your serial number to locate your registered serial number?

If you are using your registered serial number, Bos63254709, then can you please provide more details on why you are reinstalling Lightroom 5.7.1?  What happened to the previous installation?  What else has occurred on this computer recently?  Anything that is causing you to reinstall Lightroom 5.7.1?

I look forward to your updates to this public forum discussion.

I'm switching from my old PC to a new iMac. But, really this is not the topic here, it's the CCM-version thats the problem.

How ever: I did finally managed to find a link to the correct version of LR5. So, problems solved. But, it would be very much less confusing for your customers if Adobe provided the correct link on the page where you claim it to be, instead of the CCM-version.
