Hi, I still have problems with the latest release, it will not use the custom folder I have configured in CC. Both Lightroom and PhotoShop now fails during installation. No useful information or messages!

Why can't they make this to work when they have made the option available??

And LR even starts install to the default location even before you are able to set your preferred location!!

I have a SSD disk with limited space and will rather use my 3Tb disk!!

    Hi, everything sorted out, finally!

I was trying to use a logical disk that was set up on Windows Storage Space on Windows 8.1, which had the REFS file system, not the usual NTFS. And that supports case sensitive file names, but it doesn't use it! So Adobe checks it and will not install.

I simply created a new volume on the same drive with NTFS, and both Lightroom and PhotoShop now installed there!

Despite Adobe that still claims stat LR must be installed on the default disk (which is not true!)

Hmm, I found the reason for the problems I had, but no solution. Checked the installation log file, and it claims that my disk is case-sensitive! I use Windows Storage Spaces for that disk, maybe it is case sensitive as default. I will see if I can disable it

    Branching to a new discussion.

Ole Lightroom CC supports custom installation locations.  It looks like you sorted out what was causing Lightroom to fail to install.  Please feel free to update this discussion if you are continuing to experience difficulties.
