Re: limite de activacion adobe acrobat xpro

Hello,
I have a legitimate license for Adobe Acrobat X Pro. I recently contacted Adobe Support and was informed that my serial number allows up to 4 activations, and only 3 have been used. However, when I try to activate the product on my new PC, I get a message saying that I’ve reached the activation limit.

Unfortunately, the previous computers where Acrobat was installed are no longer available (they were formatted/damaged), so I cannot manually deactivate the software from them.

The support agent suggested I reach out here in the Community to see if there is any way to reset my activations or resolve this issue, since I should still have one activation available according to the license terms.

Could someone please guide me on how to proceed?
Thank you very much in advance.

there's no way to recover activations without the old computers that have activations.  and there's no way to work around that excess activation count message other than by deactivating on old computers.

    Dear kglad,

Thank you for your previous guidance. After a truly challenging effort, I finally managed to deactivate my Acrobat X Pro license on my old hard drive (please see attached screenshot confirming the successful deactivation).

Following that, I performed a clean reinstallation on my new system, carefully removing all traces of the previous installation, even registry entries, using Revo Uninstaller. However, despite this, I am still receiving the “Activation limit reached” message (screenshot attached).

When I previously contacted Adobe by phone, the support agent kindly explained that the only way to succeed was to deactivate the license on the old system — which I have now done. Yet the issue persists.

Could you kindly advise what my next step should be? I understand newer versions exist, but this perpetual license fits my needs perfectly, and I would greatly appreciate your expert recommendation without suggesting to purchase a new version.

Many thanks for your time and support.

    Best regards,
    Carlos Mendoza

you didn't convey the deactivation to adobe's servers.  that's not easily done because it requires meeting adobe's security standards.  even worse acrobat x probably can't be activated any more because adobe shut down the needed servers.
