These steps are for manual removal of Creative Cloud desktop app, it will not interfere with any other apps installed on your machine.

Yes all of these can interfere with the working of CC app on your machine, I would recommend turning them off and then reinstall the app and try to use it and see if the behavior continues.

To re-download the app use the following link: Download Creative Cloud desktop app.

(Branched out as a new discussion)

Hi Hoover1979,

Sorry for the inconvenience it has caused to you. Please let us know if you have tried all the steps listed in this document Adobe Creative Cloud, needed to resolve this problem, is missing or damaged, specially 'Solution 3' in it? If not please give it try.

If it still doesn't work then I would recommend you to perform a manual cleanup of the Creative Cloud desktop app, follow the steps here: Photoshop Installation Failed.

This could also be caused by some Anti-virus or internet security program installed on your machine, I would suggest you to turn them off and check if that helps.

Let us know the results.

Thank you for the reply.  I thought the CC cleanup tool is for uninstalling CC or components of CC.  Is it correct that it may prevent the CC desktop app from constantly repairing itself?  I do not wish to uninstall Photoshop as I use it for the UltraHD Texture Pack I am making for the video game Doom (1993), in conjunction with Filter Forge 6 Pro as a plugin.

The security programs I use are MSE, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware & Super Anti-Spyware.  Are any of these programs likely to interfere with CC?
