Re: reinstalling Photoshop CS4 invalid serial number

Dear Mr. Wright

I have the same issues with Adobe, I purchase my Adobe products (physical products with DVD as an install medium) with serials via either the Adobe International online store or via an reseller on eBay.com

I had the CS4 products running just fine on my Windows 7 - 64 bit HP xw6600 workstation before I decided to refurbish my older HP xw6600 workstation and go for Windows 8 - 64 bit and upgrade even to 8.1 Pro.

Now the Adobe installers says that my serials are invalid.

What is going on here.

I remember even receiving a apology from Adobe systems that in 2013 the activation servers of Adobe Systems were hacked and perhaps my personal information was made available, unwillingly on the part of Adobe to third parties.

Not a real nice way to treat your customers. This is not the Adobe I came to know and respect back in the Days of Adobe Photoshop 5.

Sigler please re-review message #5.  If the steps listed do not resolve your current difficulties then I would recommend starting a new discussion with the specific errors you are experiencing.

    Mr Wright

I may have been a bit premature in posting. It seemed that I was not able to install my Adobe Illustrator CS4 from an USB drive but it did work from the original DVD. I choose however the USB drive at first due to some troubles with my DVD player/writer.

    Kind regards
