Kindly check and confirm if all the system requirements are met in your machine: Adobe XD System requirements.

Please refer to the following link to know how you can disable firewall: OS X: About the application firewall - Apple Support.

Let us know if this helps.

This is solved.

The problem was my Admin account in the mac and not the firewall. Once we added a new Admin account in the mac, we were able to download the Adobe files and XD from the cloud. Changing my ISP firewall settings to the bare minimum was not a solution either. The admin account did not have the necessary permissions to make changes to certain folders. My admin account is corrupted and I have to call Apple to figure it out, but I'm ok with using a different Admin user account for now. I hope this helps anyone else having the same problem which took me almost 3 days to figure out with Adobe.

(Branched out as a new thread)

Hi Abhik,

As you have mentioned you are unable to use Adobe apps because of an error message 'Unable to reach Adobe servers', could you please let us know the exact version of Adobe apps you are trying to use or install.

Do you have any anti-virus, system optimizer, system firewall, internet or browser security software installed on your machine?

If yes, then please turn them off and try again.

If the answer is no, then please check the hosts file of your computer and if you see any Adobe related entries in it and then let us know.

Also, let us know if you are in an office environment or if this is your personal computer with personal internet connection.

Awaiting your response.

Hi,

Nothing in my hosts file that says anything related to Adobe.

I do not have any firewall or security software other than what's provided with my iMac.

I have called Adobe Support twice and even keep on telling me to change my network from my home wireless to my cellular hotspot, change the time settings, and try again. To recap, they haven't been able to figure this out. They keep saying that I need to change my network even I changed it from my home network to my cellular hotspot without any luck.

this is my home computer.

Thanks.

I would appreciate any instructions on firewall security on the mac.

I've checked the keychain files like they mentioned on the forums and that looks Ok.

I've even tried to switch browsers to make this work, but no luck. Cookies and cache were cleared as well.
