Re-updating Adobe Premier Pro

i downgraded my premier pro to 14.6 but now i want to re-update thru Creative Cloud an error display pops up. says "save your work and close application". i already did and that also the ones in the troubleshoot area. done also using task options but adobe premier doesnt seem to end the process. what should i do? thank you so much for the help!
