Back to part of Hamlin's original question, and mine as well. How will the "activation servers" know that I have opened two of the same apps, or two of the apps from the suite, at the same time, if one or more computers are not connected to the internet?

with cc, you have to be signed in to adobe cc with each computer that you want to use a cc app.  you can install on as many computers as you want, but to use a cc program, you must be signed in.  a little more info:

you can install the cc desktop app from here https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud on as many computers as you own and use it to install all (or some, if you want) of your cc subscription programs. the only (insignificant for internet connect computers) limitation is that you can sign-in (and therefore start your adobe programs) on, at most, two computers at any one time. because you can sign out from either (or both) signed-in computers using a 3rd computer, this could not (imo) be easier.

Thanks so much for the thorough and thoughtful response. That confirms what I assumed would have to be possible. Thanks again.
