hi John,

sorry but i'm not sure i understood it correctly but it seems like you said that CS 6 or younger won't be supported in macOS High Sierra... only Creative Cloud versions...

I've upgraded to macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 but now have tried to open my illustrator CS 6 and a pop up window shows up saying

"To open Adobe Illustrator CS6 you need to install the legacy Java SE 6 runtime"

I downloaded the java thing but nothing has changed. but it also doesn't say anything about not the CS 6 being incompatible with the newly installed High Sierra...

can you or anyone help me out or at least explain what is happening?

    hi Jeff,

    My problem wasn't to install CS6 but just for it to run on High Sierra.

    I had looked at the link on the other post and didn't see it being the solution, thus me posting about it.

    So you resending me the link wasn't helpful at all...

    I've somehow managed to resolve my problem by myself, by uninstalling java and installing Java OS X 2017-001,

    which seems to agree with my Adobe CS 6 pack so far.

    Hi Bani, sorry but i don't understand what you mean ...

    it's the first time I'm using the Adobe forum and I can't say it's very friendly to use at all... there should be keyword search or something.

    I had looked the link up and didn't think it related to my issue as i didn't need to install CS 6 on High Sierra, i just wanted it to run.

    I've somehow managed to resolve my problem by myself, by uninstalling java and installing Java OS X 2017-001,

    which seems to agree with my Adobe CS 6 pack so far.
