Redemption Code appears to be inactive from a sealed box.

I recently purchased Elements 12 from a reseller.  The box was sealed.  When opened found the card with the redemption code on it.  When I try to redeem it I get "Oops! This code seems to be inactive. etc."  Can a new redemption code be purchased or can adobe reactivate the current redemption code?

    Thank you for responding.  I did try what you suggested and ended up in the forum because chat isn't available at this time.  I can try again on Monday to get into chat with someone.
