Registration Unsuccessful

A problem was encountered while trying to send information over the Internet.

Gee, that's an informative error, folks. There is nothing wrong with my Internet connection.

It was good enough to download the doggone program and it installed with the serial # I

provided on the first try, but three tries to register it failed; the first time after like five minutes of fake "trying."

Any ideas? Adobe thoughtfully CLOSED my case before helping me to resolve the issue. Not.

I didn't take a screenshot. Your explanation seems plausible because indeed it's a very old version, thanks. That still leaves me feeling like someone at Adobe dropped the ball (when there is no useful purpose for registering older versions). Typical. Thanks anyway.
