Reinstall CS6 Master Collection on 'same' computer after reformat

I need to completely reformat my hard-drive & reinstall windows. Do i need to deactivate CS6 first, or since i am not changing any hardware

can i just go ahead & reformat the drive without uninstalling CS6 & without deactivating ?

No, please de-activate it first and then reformat the hard drive. Without doing so, will just occupy another activation count that is legally allowed for your license. So even though you are not using this on two computers, the activation count will change to 2. Later you cannot install this on another computer without deactivating from the current computer.
