Reinstall Lr after failed update on iPad?
Several days ago, I got an App store notification that an update was available for Lightroom on my iPad. It had failed to auto-update. I tapped the update button, and I believe it started to download briefly but the button reverted to "update." After that, tapping the update button did nothing.
I decided to try re-installing Lr by deleting the app and then downloading it fresh. In App Store under "purchased", Adobe Photoshop Lightroom for iPad version 2.0.3 appears with a cloud icon. Tapping the cloud does nothing, even after powering the iPad down and restarting it.
At this point, Lightroom is gone from my iPad and it seems I have no way to get it back.
I’m having a miserable time of getting support on this. I entered a chat session with Adobe support over the weekend. After drilling down through a tedious tree of options and specifying that the problem was with Lr mobile, the chat agent eventually told me that he only supports Lr Desktop for Mac & Windows and that I should call the 800 support number, which is not open on the weekends. I called phone support this morning, and the tech had me recount the entire issue before telling me that he couldn’t help me and that I should post a question here.
Fingers crossed that I can get this resolved soon.
