My computer crashed. A new and larger disk was installed and the old disk (the one lightroom was in) have been erased and reformated.

I have installed Lightroom on my new disk and wen starting it I get a message stating that "the serial number...... is already on use by the maximum allowed computers. You need to deacticate another computer..." I press 'continue' i.e. I have already deacticated...but I get same message again.

The current installation does not change the number of installations a all so what should I do?

There are 2 versions of Lighroom... you may buy one with a serial number or as part of a Cloud subscription

The message you posted indicates that you have the serial number version, and since it appears that you did not deactivate, do as kglad directed

assuming this is not a creative cloud question, contact adobe support during pst business hours by clicking here and, when available, click 'still need help', https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html and request an activation count reset.

Why this assumption. Isn't Lightroom a part of creaive cloud?
