Reinstalling CS2

Having used CS2 for a number of years on Windows XP, I am now trying to reinstal it on Windows 8.1. I am frustrated by error code 5:12029. Can you please help?

Have you downloaded the new non-activation version of CS2 from Adobe and licensed it with the new serial number provided at that link?

Hi John,

Many thanks for the help. I now have a functioning Adobe CS2system. At 88 years I did not feel like upgrading and jumping through a forest of new hoops. As the trouble started when I tried loading CS2 onto a new windows 8.1 computer I had the devil’s own job of working through your advice. This was in part due to my difficulty in navigating Win 8.1 and in part because some legends were not as described in the link. However whenever I came up to a brick wall I carefully reread the link notes and pondered on all possibilities until I found a way forward.

I am just getting accustomed to Win 8.1’s sly system of slipping in a helpful window that eventually turns into an invitation to purchase an unwanted program.

I only hope the expected March update will improve both navigation and my temper.

Finally my grateful thanks in helping with my dilemma.
