Reinstalling CS5 crossgrade on a Mac

My hard drive died and I m trying to reinstall my CS5 Design Premium. I downloaded the installer, entered the serial number, and was told that my serial number is designated for an upgraded version. Which is true, but my upgrade was a crossbreed from a Windows machine to a Mac. My serial number for CS3 is for a Windows machine. How do I proceed?

It should not matter. You should be able to identify the older version as CS3 and enter its serial number as the qualifying version. The following link might help if you are unable to work it out...
