Reinstalling Photoshop CS4

My purchased CS3 reinstalls fine after reinstalling Windows 7.. CS4 upgrade doesnt...."insufficient hard drive space or no admin rights". Have tried running cs cleaner tool and also exrtacting CS4 program files from desktop as "Run as Administrator" but no success.

Is there a solution to this and would I have the same problem even if I upgraded to CS6?

    If the error message is correct you don't have sufficient hard drive space.  So yes you would have the same difficulties with CS6.  How much hard drive space do you have available on your C: drive?

    Thank you for trying to help...free hard drive space is 600G !!

    I took the risk of updating to CS6 and this has installed normally.

    The installation didn't even ask for my CS£ serial number.

    It might have been the sheer quantity of available disk space which was causing this error to occur.
