Reinstallment of Adobe CS6 (with already used serial number)

Hi,

I have some huge problems with my installment of Adobe CS6. I have downloaded it for a Mac Pro Retina and have been using it for a year, but it crashes all the time and the menu-bars in all the applications (Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator) are missing or pixelated. I would like to reinstall the entire suite but I'm not sure if I use the same serial number which I have already used? I bought the download online (student version) and got one serial number to go with it. Would it be possible to reinstall the applications again even though I already used the serial number one time before? I guess I need to delete all adobe applications related items on the computer beforehand?

I hope someone in here can help me. I tried to call my local Adobe support (Denmark) but without luck. So I hope to find some help here.

Thank you!

I'm in the same boat. I installed CS6 on a VM which I've since lost access to and cannot deactivate. Now any new installs say "the serial number is already in use". I don't understand why I can't deactivate them online? Anyway, I don't have any support options due to the age of the purchase and now have no way of installing the software I purchased. Does any one know how to reinstall Adobe products in this situation?

I was also in the same boat about a year ago when I had installed CS3 Master Collection on a VM to test some plugins and the HDD crashed.

Yes, you use the same serial number for activating the software.  What you need to do first before uninstalling is deactivate the installation by opening one of the programs and choosing Help -> Deactivate.  If you do that then when you uninstall you will have recovered the activation for another use.  Your license allows for having two machines with activated installations at any time, but since this will be the same machine you are better off deactivating it so that you still have one activation available for a backup machine if you choose to arrange one.
