I reloaded Photoshop 6.0 in pc running XP. It ran for years. Setup completed the install wizzard and readme was displayed. However I cannot get Photoshop to start. I select open but nothing happens. Any thoughts on how I can access Photoshop 6.0?

Bob I am sorry but I think we will need some type of an error message to provide any possible suggestions.  Can you please try looking at your event viewer to see if it has any relevant error messages?  You can find more information on how to use the Event Viewer at Identify software conflicts | System log | Windows Vista - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/identify-software-conflicts-system-log.html.

Jeff,

Thanks for responding.

I now think the problem is McAfee security. I have Norton from Comcast and McAfee should have been removed, but it is still there. The program is active but there is no uninstall file in with the other files. I cannot get rid of it. I am pursuing that with McAfee today. I will tell you how that works in a day or two.

Bob
