Remove programs with white circle/line?

I have a lot of old programs, that have white circle with line through it. Can they just be trashed? Does anyone know the answer? I am baffled. I am migrating my old iMac to a new MacBook Pro and would love to keep it clean. Thanks for your help in advance.

they should be uninstalled, if an uninstaller is available, not trashed. (if they're cc programs, there is an uninstaller available. otherwise, it depends.)

only then should you:

1. clean your imac of adobe files, per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

2. restart your imac computer (don't skip this)

3. use migration asst (if there are no adobe programs on your imac)
