Rename file with cursor arrow shortcut before extension is gone in 2020

When I go to save as in a file, I used to be able to hit the down cursor arrow and the cursor would move to the end of the file name, but BEFORE the extension. It now goes AFTER the extension, thus I must hit the left cursor multiple times to get in front of the extension to add a word to the file name. This happens in AI, PS, ID and only since I've updated to 2020. Very annoying!
