Required to reinstall Adobe CC about every week

I am running Adobe CC on a MacBook Pro running Sierra 10.12.3. Just in the past month, I have been required to reinstall Adobe CC just about every week, if not more often. There are no other changes in my system to account for this. Why the sudden problems after having Adobe CC since practically Day One?

I'm afraid I can't offer personally tested suggestions for antivirus alternatives. Some years ago I used Norton on my Mac, and it played fine with my Creative Suite, but I can't speak to how the modern version interacts with CC. This article provides some reviews if you decide to replace Avast: 10 best antivirus for Mac 2017 | Do Macs need antivirus? Best free Mac antivirus – Techtop100.

All that said, I might suggest that, before going to a different program, you try setting up an exclusion for Creative Cloud (and other affected programs) within Avast to see if that resolves the issue. Directions are here: Avast FAQ | Avast Mac Security 2015: Setting Exclusions.

You might also want to take a look at this post on the Avast forum. It's a couple years old, but it might be relevant to your situation: Avast and Adobe CC 2014 e.g. Photoshop etc.

Do you have any antivirus or similar security programs? They could be corrupting your files or permissions when performing a scan.

Thank you! Recently started using Avast for Mac. That could be the culprit. Are there some that are less likely to cause corruption? I have never used antivirus/security programs in decades of Mac use, but recently started because I heard that Mac viruses were becoming more common. But given this issue and other odd things happening with my system (mostly mail), it looks like it's time to explore a different solution.
