Rolling Back Installation: Elements 10

Does anyone have any fresh ideas how to fix this issue?  I've tried every trick in these forums and none of those solutions work.  Specifically, I'm trying to install Photoshop Elements 10.  I think the problem started when I installed Acrobat and then had Revo uninstall it.  It took a lot of my other Adobe products with it.  Elements 10 will not install anylonger.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Brian

I renamed the OOBE directory and it seems to have worked.  Can anyone tell me what that means and also if there is anything else I now need to do, e. g. unexpected consequences, or things to clean up?

uninstall all adobe products that are not functioning correctly.

    run the acrobat cleaner (http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html)

and the cs cleaner, if you uninstalled any cs programs (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html)

restart your computer and then install pse 10.

Thanks for the suggestion.  To be fair, I was aware of that and have not tried it and here's why.  I have Photoshop CS6 installed and it is working just fine.  I tried to install Premiere Pro and when I click on the setup.exe, I get the following error "Installer failed to initialize."  When I click on the Photoshop exe file, I get the same thing.  I'm concerned if I uninstall a program (Photoshop) that is working correctly, to use the CS Cleaner and it doesn't work, I won't be able to reinstall Photoshop.

What are your thoughts about this?  Thanks so much for your help.

you'll need to use your install logs to troubleshoot your specific problem:  http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html
