Run Creative Cloud on Windows 7 without admin privildges

I need to install Creative Cloud Desktop App on Windows 7 and Windows 10 computers in an Active Directory domain environment.  Program installs correctly on both operating systems however to start the program in Windows 7, the user gets a UAC prompt to enter admin credentials.  This does not happen in Windows 10.  Our corporate policy keeps me from turning off UAC so I'm wondering how I can let my Windows 7 clients use CC without making them an admin.

Hi,

Let me first tell you that Adobe Applications once installed can work with standard account as long as the standard user has read and write permission over certain specific folders which tends to get modified and re write while you launch and use the program.

In most of the situations, one can use adobe applications in standard account as these privileges are available in standard user setup even in AD environment.

Here is a small suggestion which you may try and see if it resolves. This step doesn't require disabling UAC. Lets consider, we are experiencing this problem in Photoshop, then try these steps.

1. go to program files/adobe/adobe photoshop 18/19/20 whichever version is installed.

2. Look for Adobe photoshop.exe file

3. right click on it and go to properties

4. go to compatibility tab

5. unchecked the box which says " Run this program as administrator"

Ideally your issue should be resolved if not let me know i may suggest some other workaround.

Thanks!

Do you have Creative Cloud for teams?

I have a similar problem:

In Windows 7 the Creative Cloud Client does work at all. Photoshop starts, but then a windows appears, that the IPC Broker doesn't function any more. A second windows appears: i should repair the Creative Cloud Client, which doesn't work, because our UAC is turned off.

When i give admin rights to the user, everything works fine. And yes we have Creative Cloud for teams. Does this matter?
