Searching for fonts; can't find standards

I'm stumped about how to search for fonts. From the browse fonts screen, I'm typing in the names of fairly standard fonts in the search bar at the top. For example: Georgia and Verdana. But the search results are odd. For Georgia, I get two font family choices, none of which are Georgia. And for Veranda, it tells me it can't find anything.

Are you searching in the Creative Cloud Desktop App under the Fonts tab, Browse all fonts which opens a web page that you can then search for the fonts?

Ithink the problem is what you are searching for alread exist on your computer. Have you looked in the Fonts folder on your hard drive?

Both of those are listed under MS Typography

I have no idea what "it" means.  Which Adobe application, product or service are you using?
