@tbivans I'm in exactly the same position and none of the suggested sollutions on this page have helped. Did you manage to get the issue resolved?

No. Same situation as @tbivans, just at home on a standard connection, on a two week old Macbook Pro.

Candrias please make sure you have completed all the steps listed in message #12.  The most common solution is solution 3 regarding editing the host file.
