serial number doesn't work

I have the CD to install and a serial number but my new computer does not have cd reader, I downloaded online and used the serial number from the CD but it doesn't recognise the numberSe

Recent Mac AND Windows operating systems have been known to cause "odd" problems

Could it be you didn't download the correct language version or version of the software? Serial Numbers can be very specific. E.g. if you download the Master Collection, but only have a serial number for the Premium, the serial number won't work.

As you have the original installer DVD and serial number (and I assume purchasing record). You can also try contacting Adobe Support: Contact Customer Care. They might be able to point you in the right direction as well.
