Question

Serial number expired, is it possible to reactive

I originally obtained my license of Adobe Master Suite CS6 back in 2012 and have been using it since. I got a new computer back in June and re-installed CS6 no problem. I just did a clean wipe of my computer today and so I have to reinstall my programs but I'm getting the message "The serial number is invalid. Please try again. If the problem persists, please contact Customer Support." during the install. I check my serial number on my account page and it's correct so I contact support and the person tells me that my serial number has expired and he can't do anything and for me to ask elsewhere...

Is there a way to reactive a serial number or is it just dead and I will need to buy a new license?

If you never deactivated any of the installations that might be why you are unable to get the serial number to work.  You will need to contact Adobe support again and get them to work with you on this.  It is their job to deal with installation and activation issues for CS6 products.

That's what I thought, too, which was why I was somewhat peeved last night. I have contacted support again and I am being told the same thing that it is expired and for me to contact the school who gave me the license. I ask both times what the school would need to do but they never answer my question and instead continuously go about roundabout ways telling me to contact the school.

I heard that for whatever reason that old serial numbers don't work on the updated patch version but there was a fix out. Anyone know anything about that?
