Hi

I have just had to format my hard drive and reinstall the OS etc. So now trying to reinstall my creative suite 5.5, unfortunately it will not accept the serial number on the back of the box. I am installing it as a trial at the moment, but need to find out why that number is not accepted, what do I do about this?

Found my answer, I had upgraded from Creative suite 4 years ago and it wanted me to first use the number on my CC5 box, then scroll to Creative suite 4 check it,  then add my old serial number for that. Its sorted hurray!

    Thanks all

A valid serial number is 24 digits, no letters. Usually located on a sticker on the plastic DVD case containing the software discs.

Serial numbers are never ON the box where anyone in a store may see and steal

Go to https://accounts.adobe.com/ and click Plans & Products on the top bar

-then click VIEW YOUR PRODUCTS on the right to find a list of your programs and serial numbers

If you did not register your serial number with Adobe, so your number does not show on your account page... AND you did not keep a paper copy in a safe location, you are probably not going to be able to proceed
