Serial number not accepted after trying reinstall cs5design premium on mac . Mavericks

CAn any one help me? Ik got the serialnumbers from adobe, whymis it not accepted. Is it because I have mavericks on the mac?

if you purchased a mac serial number, and not windows, your serial number will be valid with the matching mac installation file regardless of which mac os you use. some mac os may not be compatible but that's not a serial number issue.

if that doesn't explain the issue because you did purchase cs5 design prem for mac, what error message are you seeing after entering your serial number?

error message is: this number is not valid for this product (in dutch)

I have a mac serial nr. given by adobe itself because I registered the product when I bought CS 5 design premium.
