serial number on CS4

Question

I deactivated CS4 (for the first time) this morning and this afternoon I installed it on a new PC. The installation went ok and during the installation I had to enter my serial number which worked fine (the green tick appeared). When I now open Photoshop it asks me again for my serial number but this time when I enter the serial number I get the message “serial number invalid”. I tried selecting trial mode and re-entered my serial number on CS4 launch but that didn’t work either.

uninstall everything cs4 on your computer.

clean (Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6)

then reinstall cs4. if your serial number is for a suite, make sure you're installing ps (and your other programs) from the suite installation file.
