Serial number valid for windows but not for mac!

I bought abode photoshop elements 8 a few years ago for my windows computer and have been very happy with it. I bought a new Mac computer recently and  so deactivate my PSE8 from the old windows computer and tried to activate it again on the new Mac computer. Unfortunately my valid serial number was not accepted on my new Mac computer but was accepted when I tried it again on my old Windows computer.

I contacted abode PS help line but they were unable to do anything. They said the serial number was only for a windows computer and not for a mac computer and I would either have to buy a new product or keep using the old product on my old computer. I neither want to pay for a new product, as I am happy with the one I have and I cannot keep using the old computer as its being thrown out.

Is there anything else I can do?

Kind Regards

Stewart

No. You've laid out all your options. Upgrade to PSE15 on your new Mac or keep using PSE8 on Windows.

Are you hoping that this forum will come up with another option that Adobe has not already covered?

You don't put diesel in a gasoline car, and you can't install Windows programs on a Mac... unless you wish to install http://www.parallels.com/ "emulator" on your Mac to run Windows programs
