serial number wasn´t accepted

Hello. I bought CS4 box a few years ago. Now I have a new Mac and downloaded the same suite from internet because my computer doesn´t have a CD driver. When I tried to insert the serial number it wasn´t accepted. Adobe attendant told me i can have it installed in two machines. Can someone tell what to do? Thanks!

was your original cs4 for a mac?

if yes, Error "The serial number is not valid for this product" | Creative Suite

if not, you can't use a win serial on a mac installer (and vice versa), and that software is too old for a cross-grade, Order product | Platform, language swap
