I am trying to install shockwave and it says it is complete but that I need to shut down my computor to complete. I have done this and still nothing. When I search my downloads it is not there either. What should I do?

    Is it Shockwave Player, or Flash Player (Shockwave Flash) you are trying to install?  On what operating system, what browser?

    first, clean any previous installs:  http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html

    then, manually download and install:  http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

    p.s. untick mcafee unless you're certain you want it.
