I signed on for a trial version of Illustrator and found Im forced to also download a ton of other apps, but I know I only want Illustrator.

The trouble is that Ive a slow internet connection and its just not making much progress.

Question:

1) is there a cloud version of Illustrator I can login to without downloading on to my computer?

2) Can I just download the Illustrator app?

Thank you for any assistance.

    System requirements state you need stable Internet access to download and activate Creative Cloud desktop app plus any other apps you wish to use.    You might try downloading during off-peak hours when internet traffic is lighter on your network.

    Make sure your computer meets the minimum CPU & GPU requirements. Most Creative Cloud apps work on:

    • Windows 11 (64-bit), Windows 10 versions 21H2, 21H1, 20H2;
    • macOS 12 (Monterey), macOS 11 (Big Sur), macOS 10.16 or 10.15 (Catalina).

    Hope that helps.

    1. no

    2. yes

    if you only want ai and not use the cc desktop app, you'll need a subscription and then need to contact adobe support for a direct link.

    otherwise, use the cc desktop app to install ai:

    install the cc desktop app from here https://creativecloud.adobe.com/apps/all/desktop?action=install&source=apps&productId=creative-cloud and use it to install your adobe subscription and trial programs.

    if you have trouble downloading the cc desktop app or you see an error message when trying to install, make sure you have a compatible os (https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/system-requirements.html), and use the alternative download links at page bottom here, https://helpx.adobe.com/in/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-app-download.html
