Software opens, but not connected to Creative Cloud
Hello. An Adobe rep was trying to fix an issue that ended up being my hardware being incompatible with certain functions, and while doing so they broke somehow the creative cloud.
I used to have almost all software installed. They couldn't uninstall it from the add/remove programs menu, windows 8, so they told me to restart and that they can be uninstalled after that. Caused a lot of turmoil that I'll be discussing with another rep hopefully tomorrow since I was promised to get a call.
However I need to work TONIGHT.
Currently none of the software shows up in the add/remove program panel, however they all show up when I go to the windows menu and see all programs there. When I uninstalled the creative cloud, some software was unable to open, some still did. I added the cloud again, and now everything opens again.
However when I go to Creative Cloud it only gives me the option to Install the software. I can't manage what is already installed, I can't uninstall it, they don't show up in the add/remove program panel, I can't update it, nothing. But it runs. This makes zero sense to me, and I'm not sure what that rep did but it can't be good. This was NOT like that before they touched my computer.
So far I have tried:
- uninstal/instal creative cloud
- log out/in my account
- ran the cleaner tool while the creative cloud was uninstalled - it said that there is no software installed on my computer currently, just the id credentials ad host file, cleaned all, nothing changed
- ran the same with the creative cloud installed - it says I only have the cloud desktop, CC library, coresync, ccx process, id credentials and host file, cleaned all, nothing changed
I've restarted multiple times. I can still run anything that was previously installed except for photoshop, that was the software I had an issue with in the first place and the one the rep was trying to fix, so they installed it and had it connected to the cloud while the rest were not showing there (yes, they were not showing there while they were still connected, I asked why, they said creative cloud is updated. When it finished they were still not connected, and the reply I got was that they'll get installed again and that the other ones that were at that time still showing in the add/remove programs would be uninstalled when I restart the computer. Bull)
Any help will be appreciated, I need to work today, I don't know if opening that software that still opens will crash and corrupt my files, or if I install it anew it will create a second version and take double the space on my disk. Can I work tonight or do I have to wait for a rep to call and pray I hear my phone?
