Solution to 194:110 error

I as well has numerous (hundreds if not thousands) of others have run into the 2 computer limit.  I have a work PC, a home PC, and a home Mac Book Pro.  Generally I am only using CC on the work PC and the home MBP.  However this weekend I worked some on my home PC.  When I logged onto it I had to deactivate my other two computers.  Fine, got it up and running, and then used the MBP late at night in bed.

Today I come into work and it is asking me to log in.  I do and I get the standard 2 computer non-sense.  I tell it to deactivate and I am then presented with a rather generic "no internet connection" with a code of  "194:110".  I look around and it appears that it is because I tried to do 2 deactivations in the span of 72 hours.  I chat with customer support, and then I call customer support and both tell me I have to wait 72 hours from the first deactivation.

Since I am working it is pretty hard to tell my boss I can't work for 3 days (apparently no way around it).  So here is the solution.  Just create a new Adobe account and purchase CC for 1 month.  You can then cancel your CC membership within 30 days for a full refund, no questions asked.  I did this and was up and running in a few minutes on the temporary account.  I will cancel in a week when I know that my other account is unstuck.

Even though this is a work around the bigger issue is Adobe's unwillingness to address the problem (can't have more than 2, or that you can't deactivate more than once in a 72 hour window).

Thank you for your feedback Dunnmaks.  If you are looking to regularly use the software on three different computers you may want to look at our Creative Cloud for Team offerings.  You can find more details at http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/teams.html.

It isn't regularly.  It is always 2 computers, but just that the combination may change.  M-F it is work PC & home MBP.  S-SU it is home PC and home MBP.  But if I haven't used my home PC in awhile I will have to deactivate my other computers, which then when I go back to my work on M have the same problem again.

I went to your link and no where on the FAQ page does it mention that I can install/use it on more than 2 computers (just that I can manage my licenses easier).  Plus, is it worth $240 extra a year if all I need it for is my 3 computers?  I will just continue what I am doing and if necessary I will just create a temporary account and cancel it if I run into the problem again.  You guys come up with a solution that doesn't cost me money, or you time and effort (new account/close account/refund) and we can all be happy.

Dunmarks the reference to Creative Cloud for Team was to allow you to purchase an additional license.  It sounds like you are actually installing on four different computers which is why you are facing the activation issues.

We are continuing to investigate additional solutions to allow users to manage their subscriptions.

For the moment if you only activate on one of your home computers then you will still have a remaining activation to utilize when you return to work.  Basically when you are asking it to deactivate all it will allow you to activate on that computer and one additional computer.  Once this deactivation process is complete you then have one additional activation to use within those 72 hours.  Once the 72 hours is complete you can then utilize the deactivate all option again.
