I have downloaded CC on my PC laptop.  I want to also download CC on my imac.  Do I do anything differently or will CC know which platform it is downloading to?

Hi klachata

You may install software on up to two computers. These two computers can be Windows, Mac OS, or one each.

If you install on a third computer, it will request you to de-activate on the other two computers.  You can then reactivate one of the previous two computers, and use Creative Cloud apps on it.

An advantage though for Creative Cloud over the prepetural product is that you can install on Mac and Windows with the same subscription!

So that is why I get the message "invalid" serial number after triple checking that the number is correct?

1st install = iMac (works fine)

2nd install = PC laptop

(both for perpetual licence/disk install, CS6)

(I attempted to add serial number after installing on PC since my Internet was not available at that time).

Looks like I have to buy another Mac to get a 2nd install for portable use.

Please confirm.

Thank you.

Imath37 the post you have responded to was in reference to Creative Cloud.  From your response you are referring to Creative Suite 6.  Creative Suite 6 is a single platform license unlike the Creative Cloud.
