srt. files don't export correctly!

I have encountered sparatic success exporting srt files with any information in them in the last couple of months.  Sometimes restarting the software makes it work. Now, it is completely not working!  I cannot export srt files with ANY information in them.  They export and then there is nothing in them.  This is frustrating as all of the videos I export have to be captioned in 4 languages.  What happened and is there a fix to this.
