Start communicating when new versions will be released

Forward announcements like you're requesting are never going to happen. Adobe is a global, listed company with trade secrets, investors and regulatory authorities to comply with around the world.

They're continually tweaking program code until the last second. Often, new features which may be demo-ed early on may never make it into the final product. They only announce new versions when a new release is imminent.

That said, Adobe holds an annual event in October called MAX. New versions are often released around the time of Adobe MAX so that's been a reliable cycle that you can plan around with some confidence for a while now.

Ok, I still feel it is a reasonable feature request.

I don't disagree you. It would be nice to know what's coming up in advance.

I just know it will never happen given the tax and compliance laws Adobe has to follow globally. Not to mention the competitive marketplace and closely guarded trade secrets and copyrights which Adobe and its competitors each protects.

Everyone wants to see killer new features but they'll be quickly copied if they're announced in advance and not copyrighted.
