Strange error with Visual C++ Redistributables Installation with Premiere Pro CC installation

I am getting the following error when I install Premiere Pro CC:

Exit Code: 6

Please see specific errors below for troubleshooting. For example,  ERROR:

This makes no sense. I am running 64-bit Windows 7. I cannot install either the 32-bit or the 64-bit versions of Visual C++ Redistributable? What is going on here?!

DRaGZ141 have you tried reinstalling the Visual C++ redistributables from http://www.microsoft.com/?  If so an you are continuing to experience difficulties installing the Visual C++ components then I would recommend working with Microsoft to install these components of Windows successfully.

Yes, I attempted to reinstall with those downloads and got the same result.

I'm going to wipe my system and reinstall everything from scratch. I'm going to start editing a large project in about two months, I figure it's not a bad time to start clean.

Ok thanks for the update DRaGZ141.  I believe you may have made a good choice.  I would probably choose a similar option in your position as the Visual C++ components will affect more that just Adobe software.
