If I subscribe to the Student and Teacher Edition Annual plan for £15.88 per month, do I own the software after the year or does my subscription end?

After 12 months your membership will be automatically renewed unless you contact us to cancel it.  Details here: http://www.adobe.com/misc/subscription_terms.html

If you decide to stop your membership you will continue to have access to free Creative Cloud member benefits, and if you saved your work to your computer you will continue to have access to those files. You will no longer have access to the Creative Cloud desktop applications or most of the services that are components of a Creative Cloud membership.
