Student and Teacher Licensing Program problems

Hello all:

Back in 2012 when I was a student at Tuft's, I purchased PS CS6 directly from Adobe using this program (which has been, I gather, discontinued as of 2017).  I have been using this product since 2012.

Randomly yesterday I've been getting messages while using PS that the product is 'non-genuine'.  I've contacted the support hotline and sent them my receipt, and so far they are telling me that my school was not an authorized reseller.  Again, I did not purchase it from my school, but the school information is on the receipt as that was information that was required to be eligible for the program to begin with.

Please advise.

Correct answer yukidomari

Then there was probably nothing to clean, Emerlyn.  The uninstaller is supposed to completely remove the software.  The CC Cleaner tool only helps verify that critical files have been removed.

Actually, i seem to have fixed it, somehow.  After I re-installed it the 2nd time,  I was still getting the notification that the product was not authentic.  I ignored it and after a while the adobe application manager said that there were some updates so I ran the updates.

Afterwards on applications-> system preferences-> security and privacy -> accessibility i switched off PS CS6 from the 'allow the apps below to control your computer' list.

since then i haven't got the non-authentic pop up.

Yukidomari, is your Creative Suite 6 serial number registered under your account at http://www.adobe.com/?  You can find information on how to locate your registered serial numbers at Find your serial number .

Hi Jeff, no, it isn't. The reason being it was registered to my email account when I was in school which was the required email to use to apply for the Student and Teacher License Program (obviously, since then I've graduated and no longer have access to that account).

I know what the registered serial numbers are, though, since I forwarded myself the email I received from Adobe when I'd purchased the product to my personal email.  When I try to register those serial numbers to my account with my personal email,  it says that those serial numbers are already in use.
