Student Verification System Problem

I have a few problems, they are all relating to the student-faculty verification system. The program accepts my program code but then when I am on the page where it asks if your a student or faculty and your birthday it tells me these two things:

"Stop!  Your browser is not configured to accept cookies.  You'll need to ensure that the browser accepts cookies before you can proceed with this process.  If you need help with this activity review How to check browser cookie settings for step by step instructions."

and second:

"You have entered an invalid Security Code.  Please re-enter the security code exactly as you see it and continue."

The first thing was a legitimate problem the first time I tried, but since then I have enabled cookies (and restarted the browser and checked that cookies were indeed still enabled). I am not sure if that is actually stopping me from doing anything or if it is just a left over error message from before. Second however is a bigger problem. Every time it gives me a security code, I type it in, check that its correct and hit continue and then it says its wrong. At first I thought I might just be dumb, so I tried a few more times. But now I have tried probably 25 times and I have gotten the same error messaage every time. Help???
