I am having difficulty canceling my subscription, it was supposed to be a free trial. I am speaking with someone via chat who is telling me that there is no subscription under my email yet I logged in with the same email address?!

Even if the credit card is charged, if the cancellation is completed within 14 days, the full amount will be refunded.
If you find a valid ID, you can cancel it from HP by following the steps below.

As above, Try a different email address and password and also look through your emails for a conformation of your Adobe ID.

I personally have had a few Adobe logon email addresses over the years. originally I thought it trivial to Sign In to Adobe as I bought my Adobe programs as discs that has serial numbers for activation.

So every couple of years, when I upgraded to newer versions I couldn't remember which email address I used or the password. So I used another.

 

Als as above If you had to enter a credit card number you need to remember the Adobe ID you used to start the trial subscription and Cancel it. Otherwise they willl charge you every month.

If you tried JustShootMe's method and you do not find a subscription try different possible e-mails (or look into your e-mails to find the correct adobe id). If your Cedit Card gets charged, you have a paid subscription you beed to find the corresponding Adobe id.

Log onto the Main Adobe website, Adobe.com, Sign in with the Email address and password you used to use the Trial Subscription, Your Adobe ID, and then Check your Account. If you find that you do have a subscription, Trial or otherwise, there will be a Cancel Button to Cancel that subscription.

Did you say that you didn't have a subscription to the email address you chatted to?
If you have another email address, you may have applied for it, and if you are still using the trial version, you can check it from the Creative Cloud app.
Please refer to the screen below.
