Subscription Requirements new windows 10 minimum for some cloud apps.

The problem is that Windows 7 and 8 are end of life and you should upgrade to Windows 10. Windows 10 upgrade was offered during the initial phase of the Windows 10 launch. It would have been wise to use that offer.

I have also been using Adobe products for 30 years and both of us have seen many operating systems come and go. As a long time users, we can’t expect that software we bought 30 or even 20 years ago would run on modern systems. One of the great things about Creative Cloud is that you still have access to older versions until it’s time for a new computer at which point you can immediately download the version that works for you without making an additional purchase.

This is a user forum, so we are users just like you. Yes, there is other software, but imho, there is nothing that comes close to Adobe with the specific ones you mentioned.

Nelson, have you ever considered how much money you are saving by using this subscription model instead of paying full price for the software the way we used to do? $50 a month for everything? $600 a year? that isn't even enough to cover the cost of what we used to have to pay for just one version of a program like Photoshop or Illustrator.

So they have in actuality made their products significantly less expensive than they ever were historically, but you still expect more. You would like them to make all versions of the software compatible with all versions of operating systems? Not possible. At all. When Apple or Microsoft make huge changes to the way their operating systems work (like they did with Windows 10), Companies like Adobe have to adjust how they work as well. Windows 10 cane out in July of 2015. Kind of a really long time ago in terms of operating systems. Almost to the point of being obsolete already and soon to be replaced by yet another OS. So instead of complaining about how Adobe is somehow screwing you over to try and keep up with advancements in technology, maybe you should take a few minutes and just update your computer to something that will be phased out in the next year anyway.
