Suddenly I get this message: ‘You have reached your device activation limit.’

I’ve been using my Adobe CC for years on 2 machines. On one machine I do my regular work, and on the other I process a lot of badges and run automation tasks. I use 2 machines because it’s difficult to manage everything on just one. But since this morning, this no longer works here in the Netherlands! I’ve also heard from several other people in the Netherlands that they suddenly reached their Adobe CC device limit, even though some of their machines were actually turned off!

“What’s going on with Adobe? It feels like they suddenly enforce a new policy without warning. I’ve been working this way for years without issues, and now overnight I can no longer use my two machines at the same time. Why wasn’t there any communication about this change?”

The problem I’m experiencing is that Adobe keeps recognizing the same machine multiple times as activated (see screenshot). When I deactivate all the others and leave only one, I can log in again, but that only works for a short time, because every time I log out and back in, it keeps saving those machines as separate devices.

I will try to sign out on all devices in my Adobe account and then log in again...

has that helped, so far?

I deactivated both machines via Adobe.com and my account, then cleared the Adobe CC application cache. After that, I signed in again on both machines, and so far everything is working as it did before. I already had 2FA enabled.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
