Have a new Surface Pro 4 and have a licensed copy of Illustrator CS5 that I am trying to install via download.  Downloaded the 1.3GB file, but cannot launch the application to install it.  Followed all the instructions...even got a 7zip launcher and 9zip launcher which I trust are approved apps.  Please help.

An idea that MAY work to install and/or run old programs in Windows 10... works for some, not for others

-or Run as Administrator http://forums.adobe.com/thread/969395 to assign FULL permissions may help... says Encore, but sometimes required for ALL Adobe programs (this is NOT the same as using an Administrator account)

There are two files to download for the Windows version: a .exe file and a .7z file.

Sounds like you've only downloaded the .7z file and you're trying to open it with those zip utilities. Not necessary.

Download the 1.2 MB .exe file (File 2 of 2) alongside the 1.3 GB .7z file (File 1 of 2) you've already downloaded.

Then double click the .exe file and follow the prompts. The .exe file will unzip the .7z file automatically as part of the installation process.

    Hi Danieljmoss,

Adobe creative suite CS 5 is a very old software and the operating system you are using is the latest, hence there could be compatibility issues as adobe has not tested these apps on the latest operating systems.

However, you can try downloading & installing the setup for Adobe creative suite CS 5 from the following link:

Download Adobe Creative Suite 5 products

To know the process of installation, please see, How to download, install, and activate Adobe applications

Let us know if this helps.
