Hi all,

I have a macOS Mojave running with an activated and working CS3. Is there a szenario to move it into Parallels Virtual Machine with Mojave keeping the current working activation?

Would it help to install the vm Mojave from a time machine backup?

Regards

Thomas

I don't how it might work with Parallels, but you could try cloning the Mojave operating system.

On a real mac one can clone a working operating system to another drive by using Disk Utility>Restore

(Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.app)

I don't think this can possibly work, you can't make a VM that preserves the machine characteristics of a real machine. Since you can no longer activate CS3, don't mess with this: keep the machine running. You could always add an external disk if you want a different system (don't try to move CS3 to the external disk!) When this machine dies, CS3 will be gone from your life forever.

@Test Screen Name, migrating to another computer won't affect the original (working) computer. so he has nothing to lose by trying.

it may work if you migrate to a compatible computer.  there have been reports of success, so give it a try.
